First Christian Church of the Beaches began in March 1945 and in April 1945 a provisional charter was signed by 12 persons. Services were held in several locations until they purchased their first church on 2nd Avenue North in Jacksonville Beach and held their first service on June 11, 1950. The church then purchased the present site and dedicated the church on March 1, 1964. In 2002 the Coggin Education building was dedicated.

The First Christian Church of the Beaches overlooks the Atlantic Ocean at 2125 Oceanfront and Seagate Avenue in Neptune Beach.

First Christian Church of the Beaches is a friendly church that welcomes persons who are seeking a church home. Our worship is Christ-centered and informal. Worship is positive and uplifting.

Visitors are welcome at any Sunday service or Wednesday dinner and program. The informal atmosphere of the church makes it easy for visitors to enter. A worship bulletin gives an outline of services. An usher will meet you and guide you to a seat. The church nursery is available on Sunday and Wednesday Evenings for families of pre-school children. Visitor parking spaces available on Seagate Ave. along the side of the church.

The pastor greets members and visitors after services. He is always willing to take a few moments to get acquainted and answer questions about the church. We hope you enjoy your visit to First Christian Church and will consider becoming part of our church family.

Membership in First Christian Church of the Beaches is by Confession of Faith or Transfer. The Confession of Faith is for those who have never made a decision to follow Christ. Others join by transfer from another church. An invitation is given at the end of each Sunday service for new Christians or those transferring to become members of our church.
